On April 19, 2008, the Royal Pet Resort held it’s first annual “A Royal Dog Festival & Pet Idol” to benefit the Paulding County Humane Society. It was a huge success!    There were vendors, live entertainment from some local young artists, a children’s area complete with slides and moonwalks, and great food from Buffalo Wild Wings, Rodney’s BBQ, Love’s Seafood, and Papa John’s Pizza.    We had our very own Pet Idol with dogs competing every hour for everything from the biggest, to the smallest, best tricks, owner and pet look-a-like, and the cutest and ugliest contests.  Winners received beautiful trophies from Trophies By Design.   The Paulding County Humane Society was on hand with some beautiful dogs for adoption and to educate the public on the importance of having your dog or cat spayed or neutered.  All in all it was a fantastic day!
